FORT WAYNE, Ind., June 29, 2017 -- Dr. Adam Osenga, a licensed chiropractor at North East Chiropractic Center, located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, recently received his certification as a physician for chiropractic sports. The CCSP® certification allows athletes to receive care for sports-related injuries through the family-oriented care facility of North East Chiropractic Center, helping those in pain avoid the need for out-of-center referrals and long wait times between appointments. Dr. Osenga plans to use his CCSP® certification to continue to promote chiropractic preventative care and natural healing for all of the center's patients.
As a certified chiropractic physician of sports, Dr. Osenga is now better able to provide specialized medical care for athletes of every age. This care can include physical examinations, imaging services, joint manipulation, and strength exercises to promote and activate the healing process.
"Amateur and professional athletes need the benefit of chiropractic sports medicine," Dr. Osenga states. "With my CCSP® certification, North East Chiropractic Center can now provide specialized chiropractic care that is in line with the most up-to-date procedures and practices, providing professional and ethical short-term and long-term treatment. At North East Chiropractic Center, our goal is to treat the whole family and meet the needs of every lifestyle."
Dr. Osenga received the CCSP® (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) certification through the ACBSP™, or the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. The ACBSP™ requires that all of its CCSP® applicants hold a current ATC (Athletic Trainer Certification) certification, and have completed an MS (Masters of Science) program in sports science and exercise. The ACBSP™ also requires its applicants to complete a year of residency in a sports medicine program and to have completed at least 100 hours of CCSP® postgraduate education.
In light of the recent CCSP® certification, Dr. Osenga invites the athletic community of Fort Wayne to visit the North East Chiropractic Center for an exam or treatment. Those with specific questions can call (260) 245-0460 to make an appointment.
