Chart of the Day: Trumpflation eases recession probability

As Republican candidate Donald Trump won the US Presidential election, the narrowing of the duration premium, which measured by the yield difference between 10-year and 2-year treasury, reversed course.

Whenever the gap dropped below zero, a recession followed. After declining to 0.78 percent in September, the spread widened to 1.21 percent.
