RALEIGH, N.C., June 14, 2017 -- Fielding Homes, the single-family homebuilding business unit of Crescent Communities, today announced plans to enter the Raleigh market. Fielding Homes recently began construction on model homes within its Forest Ridge community in Hillsborough. Models will open in October as part of the homebuilder’s expansion following its 2016 launch in metro Charlotte.
Fielding Homes experienced immediate success in the Charlotte market since launching. Based on sales activity during the first four months of 2017, the homebuilder is forecasted to surpass annual sales goals for the year. Fielding Homes has two active Charlotte-area communities, Masons Bend in Fort Mill, South Carolina and Paddlers Cove in Lake Wylie, South Carolina. Homes in Fielding’s third community, Chapel Cove in sought-after Southwest Charlotte, will begin selling this month.
“Fielding Homes’ success in Charlotte provides us with the early momentum needed to ensure Crescent’s new homebuilding company is as successful as we envisioned it to be,” said Steven Francis, Division President of Fielding Homes. “Raleigh is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. We are confident in our expansion and enthusiastic about bringing new and distinctive products to the market.”
Fielding Homes will develop nearly 350 homes over several phases in Raleigh, approximately 100 home sites in Forest Ridge and 240 home sites in Trinity Creek. Both communities will feature lush greenery, scenic overlooks and best-in-class craftsmanship, with homes ranging in size from 2,200-3,800 square feet. Homes in Forest Ridge start in the mid-$300s and will be available for sale this October. Trinity Creek pricing starts in the high-$300s and homes will be available for sale early next year.
Raleigh consistently has landed among the top markets for housing growth in the past several years, with Realtor.com ranking the Raleigh-Cary market 8th nationwide for forecasted home sales in 2017.
“We look forward to developing vibrant and successful communities that improve people’s lives in Raleigh,” said Scott Widener, President, Single Family and Fielding Homes for Crescent Communities. “This strategic expansion represents Crescent Communities’ increased focus on key markets and new developments where Fielding Homes is the active homebuilder.”
