Falls Church, VA, June 19, 2017 -- June 19, 2017 — Falls Church, VA — Community Associations Institute (CAI), the leading international authority in community association education, governance, and management, is proud to announce its first-ever Ice Cream Social Giveaway on July 16.
Summertime activities are an excellent opportunity to bring neighbors together and foster a sense of community spirit. What better way to connect with neighbors than over a scoop of ice cream? Homeowners living in a community association (HOA) or condominium community are encouraged to participate. To enter, contestants must submit a photo of their association members participating in a favorite summertime activity. The photo contest runs between now and June 30.
The association with the best photo submission will win the cherry on top—all the fixings to host an ice cream social event on July 16, National Ice Cream Day!
Today, more than 68 million Americans reside in homeowners associations, condominium communities, cooperatives and other planned communities. All of these communities—more than 350,000 nationally—share a few essential goals—preserving the nature and character of the community, providing services and amenities to residents, protecting property values, and meeting the established expectations of owners.
For nearly 45 years, Community Associations Institute (CAI), an international membership organization dedicated to building better communities has been educating and training community association managers and the homeowners who volunteer on their community association board.
“Each day, community associations around the world strive to build and sustain communities people want to call home,” said Thomas M. Skiba, CAE, CAI’s chief executive officer. Skiba added, “CAI believes that successful communities cultivate a kinship where residents feel an emotional equity for their home and neighborhood and a universal treat such as ice cream can also serve as a catalyst for fostering that community spirit.”
