Burger King, Subway, and Panera Bread are spicing up their menus with new offerings. From fiery chicken fries and spicy nacho chicken sandwiches to a salsa verde spread, these additions cater to those craving bold flavors.
Burger King Introduces Fiery Menu with Spicy New Dishes to Satisfy All Heat Preferences
The heat is being brought to food service menus nationwide by spicy flavors.
Burger King, a brand owned by Restaurant Brands International, has introduced its "Fiery Menu," a diverse range of five new dishes with varying levels of spiciness. As Meat & Poultry reported that the line comprises the following items: fiery chicken fries, fiery mozzarella fries made with Calabrian pepper breading, fiery strawberry and Sprite, a blend of Sprite soda with a low-grade spicy strawberry puree, fiery bacon Whoppers, a quarter-lb burger patty topped with seasoned bacon, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a spicy condiment topping, and fiery crispy chicken sandwiches, a white meat filet coated with a heat-infused glaze, seasoned bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and a spicy condiment. This variety ensures everyone, from those who prefer a mild kick to those who can't get enough heat, can find a dish that suits their taste.
“We know that our guests crave spice packed full of flavor when they come to BK, but spice looks different for everybody,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America. “As a brand that is built on letting guests ‘Have It Your Way,’ we’re excited to offer a range of products that appeal to everyone — from those who want just a little kick to those who can’t get enough heat.”
Subway Introduces New Signature Sandwiches with Bold Flavors and Savory Toppings
Subway Restaurants, headquartered in Connecticut, is introducing a new selection of sandwiches, including new sauces and garnishes. The Subway Signature series will now include the spicy nacho chicken sandwich, which features rotisserie-style chicken, green peppers, red onions, jalapeño peppers, a new cheddar cheese sauce, sriracha sauce, and SubKrunch, a novel crunchy topping with savory notes. The honey mustard barbecue chicken sandwich also features rotisserie-style chicken and honey mustard and barbecue sauces. The cheesy garlic steak sandwich features sliced steak, green peppers, red onions, SubKrunch, roasted garlic aioli, and cheddar cheese sauce.
“Subway’s new menu update is all about great flavor at a great value, giving our guests new ways to take their footlong subs and snacks to the next level,” said Paul Fabre, senior vice president of culinary innovation at Subway. Panera Bread Introduces Spicy Fiesta Chicken and Avocado-Inspired Menu Items
Panera Bread is capitalizing on the current trend of spicy cuisine by introducing two new sandwiches packed with flavor and two new menu items emphasizing avocado. In between slices of ciabatta, the spicy fiesta chicken sandwich boasts an all-new salsa verde spread, grilled chicken, white cheddar cheese, sweet peppers, cilantro, and roasted corn. On the other hand, the Kickin' grilled cheese sandwich combines the salsa verde spread with a blend of American and white cheddar cheese on top of white miche bread.
Panera's classic avocado toast is a sourdough sandwich with a chunky spread, bagel seasoning, sea salt, and black pepper. The garden avocado toast is a variation of the classic avocado toast, including sliced tomatoes and a garlic aioli coating.
