GAITHERSBURG, Md., Oct. 03, 2016 -- BroadSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ:BSFT), a global unified communication software as a service (UCaaS) leader, today announced that its BroadWorks® platform is integrated in One Talk by Verizon – the nation’s first 4G business communications solution using Verizon’s Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology. With One Talk, business owners and their employees have a true mobile-first communications solution, spanning smartphones, desk phones and tablets, allowing them to do business anywhere. Business owners and employees can now move calls seamlessly between their One Talk-capable desk and mobile devices at the touch of a button, and even have them ring at the same time, ensuring they stay connected to their customers wherever they are.
To date, the native phone dialer experience on “consumer-grade” and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) smartphones and tablets has limited business users to basic calling features that fall well short of the communications needs of today’s mobile-centric workforce. Additionally, other over-the-top cloud PBX and unified communications services have provided a complicated user experience, leaving customers to awkwardly tie together separate wireline and wireless numbers to support mobile workers.
One Talk delivers advanced business features within the native mobile dialer, BYOD applications for smartphones and tablets, and on state-of-the art desk phones that seamlessly and securely integrate with the Verizon 4G LTE mobile network. By integrating bMobile – an embedded BroadSoft capability that enables multi-device, multi-identity advanced business calling features and capabilities – with Verizon’s superior network technology and Verizon-developed user interfaces, Verizon’s solution allows employees to leverage One Talk services from any compatible device, and customers calling a One Talk-powered business will benefit from an improved customer experience.
“BroadSoft bMobile capabilities are impressive and have been integrated in our custom-built business solution that delivers one service, one experience, one bill and one business number – all backed by America’s largest and fastest 4G LTE network. We believe One Talk is a game changer for businesses of all sizes,” said Mike Lanman, SVP, Enterprise & IoT Products, Product and New Business Development Team, Verizon.
“Businesses need a productive mobile experience to succeed in today’s competitive climate, where every call is a missed opportunity,” said Sandra Krief, vice president of sales, BroadSoft. “Verizon’s innovative routes to market, with the ability to serve customers from their business sales teams, their retail stores, and their large partner community, provides a best-in-class sales and support experience for business customers.”
Scott Hoffpauir, chief technology officer, BroadSoft, adds: “BroadWorks is a top IP-Multimedia System (IMS) Business Application Server differentiating itself by combining a full range of business services with direct mobile access. We are thrilled BroadWorks’ bMobile software capabilities are integrated in the nation’s first Business 4G VoLTE offering by Verizon – helping to deliver communications mobilization to Verizon customers.”
