The information dump courtesy of Amado might be close to its end, and so is the fight between Kashin Koji and Isshiki Otsutsuki. With the latter’s transformation, however, Jiraiya’s clone could be facing its demise in “Boruto” chapter 48.

Does Kashin Koji stand a chance vs. Isshiki?

Kashin Koji and Isshiki’s fight has been going on for several chapters now without any clear winner in sight. That is until Isshiki finally achieved his complete transformation using Jigen’s body. The former monk has completely become the Otsutsuki clan member, and presumably, the same goes for his power. Kashin Koji, on the other hand, might not have enough surprise moves left in him in “Boruto” chapter 48 to save himself.

In determining whether or not Kashin could survive this fight, fans may want to recall Amado’s demeanor when Naruto asked about Kashin’s fate. Amado implied that his collaboration with the clone did not include an extraction plan. Naruto was concerned if Kashin Koji knew this part of their plan, and Amado could only respond with a bewildered question on why the Seventh Hokage seem so bothered about the fate of his collaborator. This exchange would be more meaningful if Naruto finds out in “Boruto” chapter 48 that Kashin is actually Jiraiya’s clone.

Meanwhile, judging based on the fact that Jigen almost killed Naruto before Isshiki even fully took over of the vessel, it is almost confirmed that Isshiki will emerge victorious in “Boruto” chapter 48. As Amado said in chapter 47, Kashin Koji has already served his purpose.

What happens to Kawaki now

The other major question moving forward in “Boruto” chapter 48 is about Kawaki’s future. The series began with a flash-forward where he and Boruto are in a massive fight that could decide the fate of the shinobi world. However, chapter 47 showed his karma seal going away just as Isshiki took over Jigen’s body.

The answer to this might not unfold immediately in “Boruto” chapter 48 or the near future. But it is something worth looking forward to as it has the potential to change the course of the entire series.

‘Boruto’ chapter 48 release date, where to read
