It’s no secret, at this point, that viewers of “Boruto” have become rather frustrated with how much the show has stretched its filler episodes in the Mitsuki arc. Unfortunately for them, it would seem that the current storyline is slated to go beyond 20 episodes, which is unheard of in terms of fillers. What’s more, in “Boruto” Episode 87, the show will be adding yet another generic character that no one cares about.

As the preview clip below that hints at the events in “Boruto” Episode 87 show, Ku will be pulling out yet another boring character from who knows where to target Boruto. Named Kakou, it’s also an artificial being just like Ku, but it would seem that this particular creature was created solely for fighting. This explains its rather manic expressions and mannerisms as shown in the clip.

While it can be safely said that there are still some diehard fans out there who will be excited for the events in “Boruto” Episode 87, there are also many others who have completely given up on it. Regardless of how the action will be presented in this episode, the introduction of Kakou is about as momentous as that of Ku or the unveiling of Onoki’s plan.

None of it really matters anymore because these are filler episodes. They mean nothing in the grand scheme of things and at this point, it just seems like the animators are trying to artificially generate drama. “Boruto” Episode 87 is a good example of how a show can be derailed when it doesn’t have good source material to base from. It’s boring, generic, and uninteresting to the extreme.

What’s more, based on how the episodes are going, the Mitsuki arc might not end in episode 88. This would then put it past 20 episodes. For those who still want to watch “Boruto” Episode 87, the episode is slated to come out on Dec. 23.
