MIAMI BEACH, Fla., April 13, 2016 -- Bang Holdings Corp. (OTC Pink:BXNG), a digital advertising company that provides content and its influencer-based marketing network to the cannabis industry, today announced the appointment of successful entrepreneur and business executive Kevin Park, 38, to its Board of Advisors.
Park is an accomplished venture investor who has founded several entrepreneurial ventures including Lourus, an education service in Korea, and Perverse Sunglasses, a Los Angeles-based fashion brand. Since 2011 he has served as Managing Partner of Newport Beach-based Simplepitch Ventures, which focuses on investments in early-stage consumer companies.
Previously, Park served as a Senior Associate for Newport Beach-based Marwit Capital. Prior, he worked as an analyst for Robertson Stephens and Mesirow Financial. He earned his undergrad degree from Yale University and his MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He is a Fulbright Scholar and was awarded his CFA designation in 2007.
“Kevin is a phenomenal talent and we are proud to have him on our team,” Steve Berke, Chairman and CEO of Bang Holdings said. “Along with significant international business experience, Kevin brings to the team more than a decade of expertise in successfully establishing startup and developmental-stage companies.”
“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity,” Park said. “The legal cannabis market is a $6 billion industry projected to triple in four years, yet major mainstream digital advertising companies such as Google, Facebook and Yahoo are restricting cannabis advertising. However, Bang Holdings has the vision, management and resources to create the first major digital advertising and marketing network for the industry, and I look forward to contributing to its success.”
