ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 22, 2016 -- Arotech Corporation (Nasdaq:ARTX) announced that FAAC Incorporated, part of its Training and Simulation Division, received $4.2 million in awards on its current U.S. Air National Guard KC-135 Boom Operator Simulation System (BOSS) contract from U.S. Army PEOSTRI. The awards, in the form of exercised options and an engineering change proposal, continue FAAC’s contractor operator/maintenance support (COMS) and Training System Support Center (TSSC) activities into FY17. COMS provides for on-site personnel and depot maintenance support for each of the 17 BOSS units delivered under this contract. TSSC provides engineering and sustainment services/materials to the fielded systems to include bi-annual USAF simulator certification and targeted hardware modifications to enhance the BOSS systems.
“These awards represent continued commitment from the Air National Guard to the operational readiness of the fielded BOSS units,” said Christopher Caruana, Arotech’s Training & Simulation Division Executive Vice President. “With this sustained support, the Guard’s Air Refueling Wings can rely on the BOSS to train refueling boom operators and will continue to realize the benefits and costs savings associated with this recently delivered training capability.”
