MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 18, 2017 -- Arcserve, LLC, whose breakthrough data protection and availability solutions deliver enterprise power with small team simplicity, today announced its Vice President of Product Management, Erica Antony, has been named “One to Watch” by CIO. The elite award recognizes rising stars in the IT industry—the senior staff destined to become the CIOs of the future—as identified and sponsored by the CIOs of today's leading organizations.
At Arcserve, Erica is responsible for the business strategy and product roadmap spanning seven portfolio offerings, including data protection, disaster recovery, high availability, and archiving, across cloud, virtual and physical environments. Most recently, she led the product management team in the technology acquisition and subsequent rollout of Arcserve UDP Archiving, which laid the groundwork for how Arcserve completed its next, and largest, acquisition to-date: cloud-first disaster recovery as a service (DRaaS) and backup as a service (BaaS), now available as Arcserve UDP Cloud Direct.
“Erica has demonstrated consistent dedication to her colleagues and motivation to innovate at Arcserve and throughout her career,” said Oussama El-Hilali, Vice President of Products, Arcserve. “But while she’s certainly a seasoned professional with a proven track record of leading people and projects, it’s her ability to problem solve and her approach as a positive change agent that are unique, powerful and extremely influential. The combination of Erica’s technical aptitude with a master of soft skills will pave a very promising road ahead for her. On behalf of Arcserve, huge congratulations to Erica as an example of a CIO One to Watch.”
Award nominees were judged by a panel of veteran CIOs and members of the CIO Executive Council according to specific criteria: job history, on-the-job accomplishments, and leadership attributes. "Digital businesses need business savvy tech leaders to advance their organization and the 2018 Ones to Watch awards recognize these individuals," said Adam Dennison, SVP & General Manager, IDG Events and CIO Executive Council, and Publisher, CIO. "The winners all demonstrated the kind of innovative spirit, focus and determination that future CIOs will need."
The Ones to Watch Awards ceremony will be held at the AGENDA18 conference, which takes place March 19-21, 2018 in Miami.
Erica has two patents around Systems and Methods – one for predictively preparing restore packages, and another for setting an activation state for a device used in a backup operation. She was also named a 2017 CRN Woman of the Channel.
