HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo., Sept. 07, 2016 -- Arcadis North America announced today it has been awarded a 10-year, multi-million dollar contract by a leading energy company to provide soil and groundwater remediation at more than 200 sites, mostly fueling stations, across the United States.
Arcadis, the leading global design and consultancy firm for natural and built assets, incorporated into the contract an innovative model that deploys Arcadis FieldTech Solutions (AFS), a service that provides specially trained field and office technical resources to deliver quick and efficient environmental remediation solutions to permanently clean up petroleum hydrocarbon impacts. The technical solutions deployed will be unique to each site and will be chosen based on site-specific conditions.
“We are delighted to be supporting energy companies in their efforts to close down sites that present environmental liability while at the same time reducing their overall risk,” said Joachim Ebert, CEO of Arcadis North America. “This contract provides an excellent example of how our AFS service responds specifically to the competitive requirements of the current oil and gas market while providing better overall value to our client. We have worked with this leading energy company for more than a decade on various remediation projects, always leveraging our innovative models for their benefit, and we look forward to continuing to provide our engineering experience and expertise for their current and future needs.”
