ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., April 28, 2016 -- TriCore Reference Laboratories' April Trevizo, MLS, has been selected by the American Medical Technologists Board of Directors to receive the AMT Distinguished Achievement Award.
The award recipients were announced on March 22, 2016, by the AMT Executive Director. The award is presented to those who have held state office, received state awards, or worked on state committees. Recipients must have also participated in state society meetings, have had publication involvement, and completed a minimum of three years as an active member of AMT.
"I was very honored to receive this award and it is due, in large part, to the mentors and colleagues who have helped me learn and grow professionally and personally," expressed Trevizo.
Trevizo is an MLS and has been with TriCore Reference Laboratories since January, 2016. Prior to TriCore, Trevizo worked at San Juan Oncology Associates in Farmington, NM, for 4 years, and then attended the University of New Mexico where she earned her bachelor's degree in December, 2015.
"April is enthusiastic about expanding her knowledge of medical technology through her work as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and her involvement with the science community as an AMT member. She is a great example of a laboratory professional and is a commendable recipient of the 2015 AMT Distinguished Achievement Award," said Sandra Kindig, Manager, TriCore Clinical Trails and Specimen Repository.
