CHICAGO, Aug. 10, 2017 -- iManage, the company dedicated to transforming how professionals work, today announced that Seyfarth Shaw LLP — recognized as one of the most innovative law firms in the nation — is one of the first law firms to select iManage Extract in connection with its subsidiary SeyfarthLean Consulting. Seyfarth will use the Artificial Intelligence (AI) platform to perform document review and comparison across all practice areas.
iManage Extract uses robots that automatically read, interpret and extract key information from documents and returns a desired business output. Seyfarth will utilize an enhanced feature of the product to train and have complete control of the robot. Using the self-service portal will allow the firm to speed up the data extraction process, increasing productivity within their organization.
“Everything we do is focused on improving efficiencies for our clients,” said Byong Kim, Director of Technology Innovations, SeyfarthLean Consulting. “The iManage AI platform is a powerful and efficient solution that allows less manual labor on routine tasks and more human capital on tasks which provides higher value for our clients. A key decision factor was the ability to work with iManage to create an integration between iManage Extract and our renowned client collaboration platform, SeyfarthLink.”
With iManage RAVN, Seyfarth can easily configure the self-service robots to handle a wide range of document sets including contracts, leases and financial instruments. The firm has total control of the robot and they can focus on extracting relevant information depending on the project.
“Bringing the power of AI to solve practical problems has been a key goal for us,” said Peter Wallqvist, Vice President of Strategy, iManage RAVN. “iManage is transforming the legal industry by providing customers ‘smarter’ technology to become more productive. Seyfarth recognizes that the proper application of AI technology results in higher quality service for their clients.”
