ADELAIDE, Australia, Nov. 15, 2017 -- Allscripts (NASDAQ:MDRX) has been appointed by South Australia Health to deliver its anaesthesia information management system (AIMS) at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. The solution, the award-winning iPro Anaesthesia from iProcedures, will provide a complete and continuous patient record anywhere anaesthesia care is provided in the new 800-bed, state-of-the-art flagship hospital in South Australia.
The Royal Adelaide Hospital was completed in August this year and spans the equivalent of three city blocks. The hospital is part of latest addition to the specially designed Health Precinct and the site that includes more than 70 courtyards, terraces and sky gardens. It provides a comprehensive range of complex care across medical, surgical, emergency, acute mental health, outpatient and diagnostic fields. Allscripts Sunrise™ is an integral part of the EHR system at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and other South Australia Health hospitals in the region.
iPro Anaesthesia is a cloud-based, mobile anaesthesia information management system designed by anaesthesiologists to automate anaesthesia documentation and offer true clinician-driven functionality. A comprehensive end-to-end solution that produces a more complete, compliant and legible anaesthesia record, it improves documentation, operating room efficiency, patient safety and medication management.
“The Royal Adelaide Hospital offers the latest innovations across health, education and research and has been established to offer the highest quality of patient care to South Australians,” said Allscripts Managing Director Asia Pacific, David Chambers. “Our solution will streamline pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative anaesthesia workflow. With many anaesthesia procedures being delivered outside of the operating room, mobility and the ability to document procedures on the patient’s electronic record is critical.”
Allscripts partnered with South Australia Health to deliver the Allscripts Sunrise product suite across the state of South Australia. The latest activation occurred on 4 September at the new flagship, 800 bed Royal Adelaide Hospital which replaces the old hospital originally built in 1841.
