Olga Kamenchuk

Associate Professor (clinical) & Research Associate at the OSU Mershon Center for International Security Studies, The Ohio State University

Dr. Olga Kamenchuk is an associate professor clinical of strategic and political communication at the Ohio State University School of Communication. Olga received her education in three countries: Austria, Russia and United States. She is a graduate of Vienna Diplomatic Academy, Austria (emphasis: international relations, class of 2005), Utah State University, U.S. (Ph.D. in Psychology, 2004 (emphasis: intercultural communication); M.S. in Psychology, 2003 (emphasis: research and evaluation methodology) and Ivanovo State University, Russia (M.A./Diploma in History, 1999 (emphasis: international conflict).

Olga has an extensive research and teaching experience. She has conducted over 100 opinion research projects for organizations such as the World Bank, the European Commission, the United Nations, Cambridge University, University of Pennsylvania, BBG, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, and Asahi Shimbun. Her teaching record includes instructing graduate and undergraduate level courses at the leading universities in Austria, Germany, Italy, Russia and the United States.

Besides her research and teaching background, Olga has dedicated over 15 years of her career to work as a director of communication and marketing, press officer, journalist, media editor and consultant, as well as often provided interviews and commentaries to international media (e.g. CNN, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, Reuters, ZDF, BBC, etc…)

Her research interests include: political psychology, public diplomacy, international communication, public opinion, and post-communist politics. During the past five years she has allocated over $1,5 mln in external funding for her research projects.
