I gained BSc Chem (Hons) in the US, and went on to work in the automotive sector for 2 years on catalysts for cars. I then returned to do my PhD (same area) and then worked for many automotive companies for 6 yrs; in 2000 I moved to Open University to teach and write in environmental studies (pollution control) and have maintained an interest in automotive systems ever since. I am currently modelling bus systems in Havana (Cuba).
