Holly Smith is a Research Associate at the Work and Equalities Institute at the University of Manchester. She is currently working with other colleagues on an ESRC funded project on the politics of equality at work. Her research interests include trade union renewal, union democracy, and equalities. She was a lay trade union activist in Local Government and then on the railway before entering academia.
