Víctor Resco de Dios es doctor por la Universidad de Wyoming y profesor en la Universidad de Lérida y Agrotecnio. Anteriormente lo fue en las de Western Sydney y de Castilla-la Mancha.
Su investigación se centra en entender la regulación de los flujos de agua y de dióxido de carbono y en predecir el riesgo de incendios forestales bajo escenarios de cambio climático.
Ha contribuido al 5º informe del IPCC sobre cambio climático y forma parte de los comités editoriales de varias revistas científicas como New Phytologist o Regional Environmental Change, entre otras.
Es autor del libro Plant-Fire Interactions: Applying Ecophysiology to Wildfire Management. Springer.
