I am Professor of Medieval European Literature and Fellow and Tutor at St John's College, University of Oxford, working on Old Icelandic and European Arthurian literature. I publish on medieval women, mythology, and on the reception of medieval culture in modern writing.
My book Winter is Coming: The Medieval World of Game of Thrones, is a journey through Westeros and Essos, talking about the medieval parallels to the TV show and book series.
