Professeur associé, Haute école spécialisée de Suisse occidentale (HES-SO)
Titulaire d'un doctorat de l'Université de Fribourg (2012), Dr Philippe Masset mène des recherches dans les domaines de la finance empirique, des investissements alternatifs, de l'économie du vin, de la gestion financière des métiers de l'accueil et des investissements immobiliers hôteliers. Professeur invité à l'Université de Bordeaux, il est membre de plusieurs associations universitaires, dont l'AAWE (American Association of Wine Economists) et le BWE (Bordeaux Wine Economics). Il est également membre fondateur de l'Alliance for Research on Wine & Hospitality Management. Il a publié plusieurs articles dans des revues internationales telles qu'Emerging Market Review, European Financial Management, le Journal of Alternative Investments, ainsi que dans le Handbook of Financial Econometrics and Statistics, et a bénéficié d'une vaste couverture médiatique (par exemple, sur Bloomberg, Reuters, la Radio Télévision Suisse, Bilan, The Times, The Daily Telegraph, China Daily, La Repubblica).
