David Bishop is a lecturer on the Creative Writing MA at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland, which he helped develop and launch with colleague Sam Boyce. He lectures on genre fiction, pre-writing techniques, and writing graphic novels. He is studying for a PhD in Creative Writing at Lancaster University, where his research is focused on the absence of queer sleuths from mystery fiction set before the Victorian era.
