It would seem that Netflix viewers are really fond of anything that involves psychotic criminals getting away with things. In the case of “You” Season 2, for example, fans simply cannot wait for Joe (Penn Badgley) to return and kill another girl. He would need another victim, of course, after getting rid of the first one that he stalked for a while before making her his girlfriend. This is one messed up story, to be sure.
For those who have yet to see the first season of the show, the word “spoilers” on the headline should not make the proceeding discussions a surprise. With that said, Joe will meet a new girl in the upcoming “You” Season 2 who will undoubtedly be the new victim of his twisted sickness. This girl will be Love Quinn who will be played by Victoria Pedretti, Radio Times reports.
Those who watched “Haunting of Hill House” will be familiar with this actress and know the caliber of her acting skills. Her role in “You” Season 2 will put her in direct contact with Joe, and this is where everything starts. It would seem that Netflix is intent on pushing for the trend of turning sore subjects into entertainment fetish for its legion of fans.
Where the first season of “You” essentially celebrated a person’s ability to successfully stalk, “You” Season 2 will highlight how the predator can act as a victim to lure in prey. Suffice it to say; this show is as twisted of a version of romance as has ever been put to the small screen. It says a lot about the kinds of people who would enjoy such a mode of entertainment.
As for when “You” Season 2 would be coming out, an official premiere date has not yet been announced. However, a late 2019 release would not be completely out of the question.
