Xiaomi SU7 Debuts Advanced Features: Keyless Entry and App-Controlled Refrigerator

Xiaomi unveils advanced features of the SU7 and new open-back earphones, setting new benchmarks in technology and design.

Xiaomi Auto has clarified the features of its SU7 electric car in a recent Q&A, detailing the advanced brake system and keyless entry, alongside launching its first open-back earphones, marking a significant expansion in both its vehicle and audio technology offerings.

Xiaomi SU7 Enhances User Convenience with Bluetooth Keyless Entry and Innovative Refrigeration Technology

In a report published by Gizmochina, when the phone's Bluetooth key is activated, the SU7 unlocks the car via Bluetooth. With this function enabled, users can automatically approach the vehicle, pull the handle, and unlock the door. The car can also lock and unlock as the user approaches or leaves the vehicle. While this feature works on most phones, some phone brands' aggressive background app management may stop the Xiaomi Auto app, resulting in unlocking failures.

Additionally, Xiaomi addressed the built-in refrigerator in the SU7. This refrigerator can continue functioning even after the car is turned off. Users can program it to run on battery power for up to 24 hours using the car's settings.

The Xiaomi Auto app remotely controls the temperature and even your refrigerator door. This is useful if you're on a road trip and want to keep drinks cold after you leave the car.

In any case, Xiaomi is attempting to educate its target audience about its vehicle, and it is doing so admirably. Multiple Q&A sessions mean more information is available, and more customers will learn about the car.

Xiaomi Warns SU7 Drivers Against Hardware Modifications and Extreme Driving

Xiaomi is stepping up its efforts to clarify the capabilities and features of its new SU7 electric vehicle, including daily Q&A sessions geared at answering potential customer questions. As the company prepares to ramp up manufacturing and delivery of the SU7 models, these workshops offer vital insights into the vehicle's design and functionality.

The increase in manufacturing indicates that Xiaomi is ready to fulfill projected demand, with both the normal SU7 and the SU7 Max models slated to be delivered to customers by late April. The more advanced SU7 Pro variant is planned to arrive by the end of May. These timescales demonstrate Xiaomi's dedication to prompt delivery and customer satisfaction in the competitive electric vehicle sector.

One of the key concerns raised in these discussions is privacy, particularly in relation to in-car video recording. The SU7 includes a security mode called Sentry Mode, which records video to improve vehicle safety. To safeguard privacy, videos accessed remotely via Xiaomi's app are automatically blurred. However, when watched directly within the vehicle, film remains crisp and unblurred, allowing drivers and passengers to check recordings without jeopardizing their privacy.

The SU7 Pro's electric tailgate control is another example of innovation, as it replaces old physical buttons with modern voice commands and touchscreen inputs. Users may open the tailgate with simple voice commands from Xiaomi's AI assistant, Xiao Ai, or by adjusting the central touchscreen. This feature demonstrates the use of modern technologies to improve user ease and accessibility.

Xiaomi has also issued a warning about unauthorized hardware changes to the SU7. The business warns that any changes not sanctioned by Xiaomi may pose safety and quality hazards, as the vehicle's hardware has been carefully tested to satisfy high reliability and performance requirements.

Xiaomi cautions caution to fans considering more severe driving uses, such as track racing. The company advises against such activities, citing that track conditions can put undue strain on the vehicle's components, necessitating specialist care.

The SU7 Max's braking system is fitted with NAO friction pads, which provide a blend of noise reduction and performance for daily driving. This setup meets national safety regulations and has an amazing braking distance of 33.3 meters from 100 km/h to a full stop, demonstrating the vehicle's superior safety measures.

The SU7's usage of SiC (Silicon Carbide) in its power modules represents a significant technological achievement. SiC modules function with lower switching losses than standard silicon IGBTs (Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistors), increasing the vehicle's total energy efficiency. Despite the increased expense of SiC technology, Xiaomi has integrated it into the SU7's systems, including the motor, charger, and air conditioning compressor, to assure peak performance and minimal energy use.

These daily Q&A sessions not only inform potential purchasers about the SU7's capabilities and characteristics, but also demonstrate Xiaomi's proactive attitude to customer involvement and transparency. As Xiaomi navigates the complexity of the electric car market, these initiatives are critical for establishing trust and a better knowledge of the technological advances that differentiate the SU7 from its competitors.
