Microsoft has a substantial list of games to be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalog for the remaining weeks of February. The action RPG “Code Vein” will headline the titles arriving this week, followed by more games, including “Dirt 5,” before the end of the month.
Xbox Game Pass free games for February 2021
This is going to be a good week for Xbox Game Pass subscribers as Microsoft announced three titles to be added to the subscription service’s games catalog on Thursday, Feb. 18. This batch includes Bandai Namco Entertainment’s “Code Vein,” which was originally released in 2019. While “Code Vein” was also launched on consoles, its Xbox Game Pass debut will only be available on PC.
Obsidian Entertainment’s “Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition,” another well-received RPG title, is also arriving in the cloud and console tiers of Xbox Game Pass this week. Meanwhile, the action-packed racing game “Wreckfest” will be released across all platforms on Thursday.
Four more games will be added to the gaming subscription platform in the last week of February, starting with the strategy-based platformer “Killer Queen Black” on Tuesday, Feb. 23 through the console and cloud services. The latest installment of Codemasters’ popular off-road racing series, “Dirt 5,” will debut on all Xbox Game Pass plans on Feb. 25 with its narrative-driven Career mode and online gameplay modes. Rounding up the new additions this month are the massively multiplayer title “Elite Dangerous” and “Superhot: Mind Control Delete,” both launching on Feb. 25 as well.
When a game is labeled for “cloud” release on Xbox Game Pass, that means subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can play those titles through a compatible Android mobile device. Microsoft also announced that the customized Xbox touch controls are now supported on seven more games available on Android via cloud gaming.
Xbox Game Pass: How to join and what tiers are available
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the top-tier plan of the subscription service, and it costs $14.99 a month. It gives subscribers access to free games released on PC, console, and the cloud. This plan also comes with an exclusive monthly subscription to Xbox Live Gold and EA Play. Gamers can choose to access Xbox Game Pass either on PC or Xbox consoles through a cheaper $9.99 monthly subscription.
