“World of Warcraft Classic” will be going live this summer and hardcore fans can’t wait to walk in memory lane. Brian Birmingham and Omar Gonzalez have already said that they’re going to be making the gameplay exactly how it was more than a decade ago.
This means that those playing “World of Warcraft Classic” will experience the hardship of clunky gameplay and the stressful days of getting a group together to coordinate within an instance. While this may prove detrimental to some, the developers are still going through with it as their convinced that this is the main strength of the game, WCCFTech reported.
Indeed, social interactions have created lasting friendship over the years, with some even blossoming into beautiful love stories. “World of Warcraft Classic” has also birthed one of the oldest memes ever created. This is referring to none other than the legendary Leeroy Jenkins and his shenanigans that resulted in his team getting completely wiped.
As for what’s the plan of the developers for “World of Warcraft Classic” and its future, nothing has been announced so far. It seems that Blizzard is will be monitoring how the community responds to “World of Warcraft Classic” and will make their decision based on their findings.
If it proves popular among WoW enthusiasts, then the possibility of The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansions could see a re-release. For now, everything will depend on the reception of “World of Warcraft Classic.”
With regards to players who are concerned that the raids and missions will be too easy to deal with, Reddit user treasure33333 said this will not be the case. The gamer warns that while top-tier guilds can easily demolish a raid fairly easily, average players will likely not mirror such results. Indeed, trying to coordinate 40 people to work together like clockwork is already challenging enough. Add the fact that their skills should be timed perfectly and everything becomes more complicated. Whatever the case, “World of Warcraft Classic” is coming in hot and those who wish to bathe in nostalgia should definitely give this one a try.
