Six long years the fans have waited and six long years they have been speculating on whether there could be a possibility of a fifth season. Well, that six long years will finally come to an end soon as Fox Television have announced that there will be another season for the most awaited TV series of all time, Prison Break.
On its last episode in 2009, many were saddened not only by the fact that it will be the end of the season, but also because of the death of one of their favorite character Michael Scofield played by Wentworth Miller. But as the hit TV series returns, some big revelations will come your way. [Spoilers!]
As it turned out, Michael is not dead! Hooray! Fox Co-Chairperson/CEO Dana Walden, in her interview with Deadline, explained that the upcoming mini-series will offer "a logical and believable explanation to why the characters are alive and still moving around the world."
Many fan theories were made as to Scofield faking his own death. They believe that by doing so, Scofield will be able to protect Sarah and to fight against the Company without them knowing that it is him who is plotting against them.
The upcoming season will continue where season 4 ended but there might be a possibility of a time jump. Walden also explained that, "The brothers and some of the iconic characters will be back, and it will address some questions that were set up at the end of the series for a new audience,".
Expect more action as Scofield and Burrows (Dominic Purcell) continue their fight against the Company. Tune in for more info about the season premiere of Prison Break this year.
