It was quite well-known that Hillary Clinton has been preparing for the presidential debates; words came out that she and her campaign analysts are watching Donald Trump debate videos of the primaries, reading whatever he said in interviews or done over the quarter century or more, and even consulting psychologists to get under the skin of Donald Trump.
Tonight it all paid off. It was very clear from the debate that Hillary Clinton was very well prepared compared to the past, she was very energetic, probably better rested, and she covered her major loopholes. While she was expected to be prepared, Donald Trump was disappointing. Probably he tried to be calmer and more Presidential, it was clear that he didn’t prepare much for the debate. People saw the Hillary Clinton they had expected but didn’t see the Donald Trump they were expecting.
Mr. Trump from the very beginning has portrayed himself as he is; that includes sometimes as blunt and loud mouthed and people have accepted him as he is and many like that about him, while others feel that higher security, secure border, more jobs are surely much better even if that comes with some harsh words from Trump. But that Trump was nowhere to be seen today, except for initial 20-30 minutes. You will have to give credit to Hillary that she successfully baited Trump almost every time to drift from the topic.
All in all, in the very first debate, which has been watched by millions of Americans, Hillary was successful in portraying herself as a better choice, especially for those who are hearing them for the first time in such detailed level. Next one is the vice-Presidential debate and that is on 4th of October.
