Fans of the “Toy Story” franchise are almost guaranteed to love what “Toy Story 4” is going to offer even though it has yet to be released. None of the other movies have disappointed, so why should the upcoming film be any different? What’s more, it would seem that the upcoming flick is a result of a pinky promise and those always pan out. Road trip anyone?
As RadioTimes notes, Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter over at Disney had already mentioned that they were committed to not making “Toy Story 4” if the story was not good enough. In fact, it would appear that a pinky promise was involved, though, it isn’t clear if it was literal or metaphorical. In any case, the folks behind the film clearly came up with a good plot, thus explaining the movie’s existence.
“We made a pinky promise to each other that we would not make another Toy Story unless we found a story that was worthy,” Lasseter said.
On the matter of what “Toy Story 4” is going to be about, the movie’s synopsis provides a fair amount of details. However, it’s worth pointing out that these kinds of descriptions often leave more information out than they provide.
“Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy,” the synopsis reads.
There are still a lot of questions with regards to “Toy Story 4” that might only be answered when the film hits theatres on June 21. Will Andy make an appearance as an adult? How much of the film will be a love story and how much time will be devoted to adventure? Fans will likely have to watch the movie to find out.
