“The Winds of Winter” may be coming sooner than expected. This is the latest prediction of bookmakers after starting a bet with regards to George RR Martin’s publishing date for his much-awaited sixth book in the “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel series.
According to UK’s Express, bookmakers place bets on 22Bet, and they predicted that “The Winds of Winter” will be out before 2019 ends. It was said that the odds were 2.7 in favor of the guesses that Martin will release “TWOW” earlier that his first announced date of 2020.
The bookmakers stated that this is actually not impossible since Martin is almost done with “The Winds of Winter.” The author will not mention the month and year if he still has a lot do to complete his book. His goal is to finish the book in the first half of 2020, so this means that his progress with writing the book is going fast these days that it can be completed any time now.
The publication noted that although the bets on “The Winds of Winter” release date does not appear when searched on 22Bet site, the bet was posted in order to determine the readers’ guesses with regards to the book’s launch date. ‘When do they think it will finally come out? The publishers want to know what the readers think about this.
In any case, it turned out that most bookies are convinced Martin is publishing “The Winds of Winter” sooner than he originally planned. There are even suggestions that it will come out as early as August, but this is a bit too much.
Meanwhile, George RR Martin promised a July 2020 release date for “The Winds of Winter.” He divulged his plan via a blog post last month. He also challenged the fans to imprisoned him in a small cabin if he will delay the date again.
