‘The Walking Dead’ season 7’s episode 16, titled “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life,” will feature Rick and his allies as they band together to prepare for an all-out war against Negan and his infamous Saviors.
The short synopsis for “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life” posted on TV Guide reads, “The stakes keep mounting higher and higher as different stories clash, while the group enacts an intricate plan.”
The Alexandrians, together with their allies, may finally make a move against Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his Saviors as they prepare for battle of survival. According to Comingsoon, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) may be confident enough for strong alliances but the Saviors may be difficult to take down despite the preparations they have taken.
The recap of episode 15 posted on Wired revealed that the previous episode, titled "Something They Need," featured Tara (Alanna Masterson) leading a group of Alexandrians to Oceanside despite her promise to keep their community a secret. The group marched on to Oceanside in hopes of getting the community to fight with them against Negan. The group’s leader, Natania (Deborah May), refused to allow her people to join in the impending rebellion but allowed the Alexandrians to take their guns and ammunition.
When the group returned to Alexandria, Rosita (Christian Serratos) revealed Dwight’s (Austin Amelio) intentions of helping take Negan down after she ran into him at the Sanctuary.
Meanwhile, Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) remained a captive at the Sanctuary, with Negan trying to convince her to join the Saviors. Sasha then asked Eugene (Josh McDermitt) for a way out of her conundrum, to which he gave her some poison capsules he created.
‘The Walking Dead’ season 7’s episode 16, titled “The First Day of the Rest of Your Life,” is scheduled to air on AMC on April 2, 2017. It was directed by Greg Nicotero and written by Scott M. Gimple, Angela Kang and Matthew Negrete.
