The English-dubbed version of “The Promised Neverland” episode 5 is airing this weekend and fans can expect a couple of intense confrontation among the three main characters. Norman and Emma learn who is the spy and it is none other than Ray.
Last week's installment already established that Norman is highly suspicious of Ray. The former will devise a plan in “The Promised Neverland” episode 5 that would only confirm his assumptions.
Norman feeds wrong information exclusively to Ray regarding where the ropes for the escape are being hidden. Ray, being Isabella's snitch, reports this to the orphanage “Mom” that will then lead to a confrontation full of twists in “The Promised Neverland” episode 5.
The Promised Neverland - Next SaturdayI spy with my little eye an all new episode of The Promised Neverland. Happening next Saturday night at midnight!

Norman is going to be extremely upset of Ray, but the mood will certainly change after the latter reveals how he somehow manipulated Emma and Norman into planning an escape. “The Promised Neverland” episode 5 will go back to the time before Norman and Emma found a lifeless Conny at the gate of the Grace Field House.
It turns out that it was Ray who planted Conny's bunny toy for Emma and Norman to find. Anime fans who are seeing “The Promised Neverland” episode 5 for the first time will be brought back to a mini flashback. This is to recall that it was Ray who also encouraged them to return the said toy to Conny that practically started all this escape plan.
The more interesting thing is that Ray also wants to escape and that is the only reason why he has been serving as Isabella’s spy — something that he will explain in “The Promised Neverland” episode 5. However, he is totally against Emma’s desire to save all their orphanage siblings at once. This might seem very cruel but the anime series will, later on, explain why this is actually practical and the only way they could execute their escape plan perfectly.
The original, Japanese-language episodes aired in the first quarter of the year. Luckily, fans who prefer to see the English-dubbed episodes did not have to wait long for it to happen. Meanwhile, a second season is slated to premiere in 2020. “The Promised Neverland” episode 5 will air on Saturday, May 11 at midnight on Adult Swim’s programming block Toonami.
