Many people, especially those who are following the mystery of the famous Oak Island in Nova Scotia is looking forward to “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8. The good news is that it is still returning to continue the hunt for the Money Pit and the valuables that were believed to have been buried there.
The mystery of Oak Island remained unsolved for 225 years, and the Lagina brothers, Rick and Marty, are hoping that they would be the ones to find the treasure with their team. In the finale of season 7, the team discussed what they had found so far, and they were astonished by the timeline because it goes way back to the late 1700s as opposed to the belief that it all started in the mid-1800s.
What to expect in the upcoming season
“The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 will continue with the exploration of the island. The Lagina brothers will focus on the places where they made important discoveries, such as Sam Ball’s property and shaft 8.
The previous season ended with the team digging in shaft 8, and they were initially hopeful that they had reached the original location of the Money Pit. However, when the machine started to dig, they were only able to unearthed ancient woods, some tools, and even huge chunks of metals.
In Ball’s property, they had found a tunnel after digging on the spot where they had found an anomaly at the time when they were scanning the area. After getting the appropriate permits to check the site more and dig, they used a camera that was dipped into the hole, and they were shocked to find a tunnel.
It is yet to be revealed in “The Curse of Oak Island” season 8 what and where the tunnel leads to. They have brought up the theory that Samuel Ball may have been the very first person to find the Money Pit, and if they find anything in that tunnel, it will be a breakthrough, and history will change because based on Nova Scotia’s records, Ball got rich through farming.
Release date
The eighth season of “The Curse of Oak Island” is actually not renewed yet but with its consistent high viewership ratings, History will surely greenlight the show. The Lagina brothers also talked about their needed budget to continue and they may be working on it right now before they could film again. The show may be back in early 2022.
