Rimuru is already likely facing danger with even before “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2 begins. In the final moments of the first installment, a mystery person was seen spying on the main protagonist as he prepares to go on a journey on his own.

Before Rimuru left, someone was observing his moves from a distance behind a tree. Fans who are not caught up with the light novel series likely do not have an idea who this character is, but it is Hinata Sakaguchi. Her cameo appearance in the season 1 finale hints at what plot is coming next for “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2.

“That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2 will pick up from Rimuru’s choice to travel to the human kingdoms alone. While he travels, Hinata is expected to keep an eye on him until she decides it is the perfect time to attack.

Hinata and Rimuru’s encounter will likely be one of the action scenes in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2. In the light novel, Hinata ambushes Rimuru and immediately attacks with what is called her Disintegration skill.

There is a slight difference in the way Hinata was introduced in the anime compared to the original series. Her first appearance in the anime, however, made it clear that she means harm for Rimuru. Once “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2 premieres, fans are likely getting a flashback where Hinata’s past will be explained and why she wants Rimuru gone.

Fans should not worry, though, because Rimuru’s quick thinking will save him. However, Hinata’s attack is so powerful that she thought she killed Rimuru in that ambush. Hinata’s attack is a small trouble compared to a war that is about to unfold in Tempest in “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” season 2 that will air in 2020.
