“Street Fighter 5” is coming but it will be the game’s final season. Capcom confirmed that it will offer one more season and it will be arriving this year.
As the Japanese video game developer and publisher is preparing to release “Street Fighter 5,” gamers will be treated to something new in the game. The title is ending with five sequels and as a treat, Capcom is also adding five new characters in the game.
In the last four seasons, the company gave “Street Fighter” DLCs that surely improved and made the game more interesting to play. It has already received brand-new characters before and for this year’s release, a totally new face, one that has never appeared in the game before are making their debut.
Screen Rant reported that at least two of the five names are totally new in the game. Thus, it can be said that they are “Street Fighter 5” exclusives who are making their debut this year.
Dan Habiki
Dan Hibiki is already a known character who is coming to “Street Fighter 5.” He first appeared in “Street Fighter Alpha” and was seen again in “Street Fighter 4.” Eurogamer reported that Dan is hitting the final season in February 2021.
"Our first character, Dan, is still planned for this winter and will be released in February,” the outlet quoted game producer Shuhei Matsumoto as saying. “We understand many of you have been waiting patiently for the release of Season 5 and we would like to report we are working on delivering this content to you as quickly as possible."
Rose
Just like Dan, Rose also debuted in “Street Fighter Alpha” and appeared in “Street Fighter 4.”
She is an Italian fortune-teller who fights using a unique form of energy called “Soul Power.”
Oro
Oro first appeared in “Street Fighter 3: New Generation.” His upcoming appearance in “Street Fighter 5” will be his first, since the third sequel, as a playable character. He is considered as one of the most powerful names in the game.
Akira Kazama
Akira debuted as a fighter in “Street Fighter” season 5. She was part of a DLC that was released in August 2020. She is originally a character from the Rival Schools series of 3D fighting games.
Finally, the fifth new character in “Street Fighter 5” is still unknown. Capcom is still mum about his or her name and will probably drop the news once the game’s roster is finally completed.
