Fans are clamoring for “Steven Universe” season 6 now that the fifth installment has concluded more than two months ago. The finale of season 5 was so dramatic that fans want to know what’s up next with Steven. However, there is no announcement of the series renewal yet.
But while Cartoon Network is still not saying anything, there are speculations that “Steven Universe” season 6 is coming this year. According to Express, it is predicted that the new episodes are set to be released before this year ends, but of course, the official announcement must come from CN or series creator Rebecca Sugar so the waiting game begins now.
Moreover, prior to the premiere of “Steven Universe” season 6, fans are likely to see the “Steven Universe: The Movie” first. Once released, it is certain that the sixth installment is coming up next.
It can be recalled that during the San Diego Comic-Con that was held in July 2018, the show creator announced that they are in the middle of the movie’s production and a trailer was also revealed at that time. Den of Geek reported that “Steven Universe: The Movie” is confirmed to debut this fall and this means it will be out on Cartoon Network by September.
Meanwhile, fans will see a very different Steven in the “Steven Universe” season 6. This is because after embracing his Pink Crystal self that was shown in season 5’s finale called the “Battle of Heart and Mind,” the young boy that everyone knows to be naive and silly will grow up a bit and the changes in him would be apparent in the upcoming season.
“Steven Universe” season 6 will show a more matured Steven and the change in him will reflect on his life’s choices and the way he deals with situations that he will encounter in the new episodes. In the meantime, see the “Steven Universe: The Movie” preview below:
