“Steven Universe Future” episode 15 & 16 are up next after a surprise announcement that "Future" did not end in just 10 episodes like what was believed. After going on hiatus for almost three months, episodes 11 and 12 were released on March 6 followed by another two stories on March 13.
Is the series concluding already?
It was really a surprise because fans have been looking forward to “Steven Universe” season 7 but what they got was the second half of “Steven Universe Future.” But then again, while it is nice that Cartoon Network brought new stories, it seems that it is not completely good news because Rebecca Sugar announced that this is the final 10 episodes of the series.
“I’m so excited for the final episodes of ‘Steven Universe Future’ to be out in the world, and so grateful to our audience for supporting our show for all these years,” Variety quoted Sugar as saying. “It has been an eye-opening experience to meet the community that has come together around the show: I have been so moved, and I have felt so seen.”
The show creator added that knowing that the show inspired many artists to draw and families watched it together, she is filled with awe and her love for animation was renewed. Sugar thanked those who followed the series and ended her statement by saying that even though the epilogue of “Steven Universe” is ending, “please trust that like us, these characters will always be growing, changing, and supporting each other.”
Plot summary
In any case, as posted on Fandom, “Steven Universe Future” episode 15 and 16 have been titled “Mr. Universe” and “Fragments,” respectively. It is likely to show Steven growing up even more and facing his personal issues.
He will get help from close people around him so he can face his troubles and deal with his life as he grows up. Steven’s mental health will be dealt with after he was discovered to be suffering from trauma from his bad experiences and memories since he was a child.

“Steven Universe Future” episode 15 and 16 will air on March 20 at 7 p.m. on Cartoon Network, as per Heavy. The series will end on March 27 with a total of 20 episodes.
