Fans are waiting for “Dr. Stone” season 2, and they are hoping that it will be out very soon since everyone wants to know how Senku is using his inventions to battle the enemies. The good news is that the second installment is confirmed, and a teaser was even released by TOHO Animation in December last year.

What to expect

The promo trailer for “Dr. Stone” season 2 teased that it will return with the “Stone Wars” arc. Not much was revealed, but the clip also showed Senku, Chrome, and Gen joining fists as if they are making a promise. And true enough, the friends are vowing to fight until they can save the people and bring back civilization by finding a solution to “unpetrified” everyone.

They are also expected to finally face Tsukasa, but it is uncertain how this battle will end. Perhaps, the recording of Byakuya Ishigami that they found in the last episode of “Dr. Stone” season 2 will play a role in how they will deal with the situation.

“Dr. Stone” season 2 may also be the time when they will finally find the formula to unfreeze the population and see the mystery behind it as well. Why did the petrification happen, and who did it? Then again, it will not be an easy battle for Senku as the village’s foes could have come prepared to fight them too.

Production team details and release date

Since “Dr. Stone” season 2 is just a follow-up to the first season, it is likely that it will still feature the same cast members and staff. This means that Shinya Lino will return as its director while Yuichiro Kido will still serve as the anime’s scriptwriter.

Yuko Iwasa will also be “Dr. Stone” season 2’s character designer, while music compositions will still be handled by Tatsuya Kato, Hiroaki Tsutsumi, and Yuki Kanesaka. The second installment is expected to arrive in a few months.

Game Revolution reported that there is no exact day of release yet, but it is predicting a July air date. Meanwhile, “Dr. Stone” season 2 will continue to be streamed via Crunchyroll and Funimation will release it with English dubbing. English subtitles are available as well, but these versions may come a bit later, some time after the Japanese edition is aired.
