Song Joong Ki has certainly been having a busy time of late what with having to contend with the conclusion of production for his upcoming series, the “Arthdal Chronicles,” to start with. Then there are the divorce rumors surrounding the actor and his wife, Song Hye Kyo. Then again, it’s not all bad since the South Korean superstar does have his legions of female fans to prop him up and give him support.
To start with, Song Joong Ki and his wife had started dating back in 2015, Business Times reports. They announced their intention to get married in 2017 and it would appear that they are still happy with that decision. This has not stopped the vicious rumors about the two splitting up, however, and they are actually getting worse.
Fortunately, Song Joong Ki has debunked these claims in a recent press conference where he discussed his latest work called the “Arthdal Chronicles.” During his speech, the actor noted that there were no changes in their marriage except for the tranquility that he seems to have obtained. Based on this, it would appear that their relationship is still going strong.
It should be noted that a majority of the attention that Song Joong Ki is giving is currently directed at his new series. Set to hit Netflix for the international audience, the “Arthdal Chronicles” is set in a fictional world, which is a first in South Korean entertainment. In fact, this new series is being called the Korean “Game of Thrones,” which certainly comes with a bit of weight behind it.
As to what the series starring Song Joong Ki is even about, it’s largely composed of the same stories involving heroes in a fantastical world full of intrigue, drama, and of course, action. Anyone who wants to watch this upcoming series can do so on June 1 via tvN and soon via Netflix.
