‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 8, titled “Sick Burn,” will feature the spread of a deadly supernatural infection caused by a viral video doing rounds on the internet. Meanwhile, Diana’s daughter Molly will be disturbed and scared by haunting visions.
The synopsis for “Sick Burn” posted on TV Guide reads, “A supernatural infection from a viral video coincides with an Internet sensation's arrival. Meanwhile, Molly (Oona Yaffe) is scared by a vision that may signal a grim future.”
The upcoming episode will feature an internet sensation, Logan Macdonald (Robbie Kay), coming into town through a viral video. Surprisingly, Logan’s video also brings in a horrifying supernatural infection.
In the promo, Ichabod (Tom Mison) warns that the curse must be contained as they realize that the people who watch the video are the ones that get infected. Alex (Rachel Melvin) is shown to have contracted the infection after watching the video. It is also hinted that Molly may have watched the video as well.
By the end of the promo, Ichabod is seen at a town square warning people to get off their mobile phones. He calls out, “People of Washington! Your mobile device is a weapon! Switch them off now!”
Despite his best intentions, Ichabod is met with skepticism and nonchalance much like a deranged street-level doomsday prophet would. Homeland security agent Diana (Janina Gavankar) says, “Could’ve told you that wasn’t gonna work.” It will be interesting to see how Ichabod changes up his strategy to prevent the viral video and supernatural infection from spreading further.
Meanwhile, Diana’s daughter Molly is haunted by a frightening vision that could signal a bleak future. According to International Business Times, the previous episode followed Molly as she unintentionally summoned a demon that took the form of her father. Fortunately, Ichabod and his allies were able to subdue and kill the demon.
‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4’s episode 8, titled “Sick Burn,” is scheduled to air on Fox on February 24, 2017. It will be followed by episode 9, titled "Child's Play," expected to be released on March 3.
