Did Selena Gomez confirmed her relationship with The Weeknd? A now-deleted Instagram video shook fans worldwide following reports about the two singers who were caught kissing in early January.
TMZ first reported that the Canadian crooner and the “Heart Wants What It Wants” singer were snapped “getting handsy and mouthy” just outside an Italian restaurant in California. Both camps were mum about the photos, which circulated like wildfire on the Internet. Until today.
On Monday, the most followed celebrity on Instagram appeared to make her romance known with The Weeknd when she posted a short, black and white clip of the singer, US Weekly said. In the video, The Weeknd appears to be resting while taking a boat ride. Gomez published (and then took it down two hours later) with a heart-eyes emoji.
The Weeknd also shared an Instagram story of Gomez looking at some art presumably in the same area.
Buzzfeed said the admission was quite shocking, given the fact that The Weeknd used to date model Bella Hadid, who is friends with Taylor Swift. Gomez is Swift’s best friend. Prior to the kissing photos, Gomez had hung out with Hadid before.
The news site also pointed out that The Weeknd and Hadid broke up in November last year, along the time the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion show, where the singer and Gomez are both guest performers. Moreover, Hadid appears to have unfollowed Gomez on Instagram, but is still following The Weeknd a few hours after the kissing photos were published on TMZ.
The three celebrities remained mum about the now-deleted video.
