Smashburger and Rick Bayless have teamed up to create a new delectable burger sandwich. The American chef and restaurateur and the fast-casual hamburger restaurant chain headquartered in Denver, Colorado, launched the Chorizo Cheeseburger that will offer a unique sandwich experience.
Smashburger is known to frequently offer new menu items as it continuously modifies the food lineup in its restaurants. The company has this habit as it wants to provide an optimal dining experience to its customers. Thus, it is no wonder that burgers at Smashburger's always taste better than the previous ones, as the fine-tuning of flavors certainly helps.
At any rate, this time, Smashburger partnered with the popular chef, Rick Bayless, to create the Chorizo Cheeseburger that will be on the menu for a limited time only. The new sandwich that was developed by Bayless features Angus beef smothered in spicy all-natural Mexican-style pork chorizo, lettuce, jalapeño pico de gallo, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, and the sandwich is held together by a spicy chipotle bun.
The Chorizo Cheeseburger will be available in most Smashburger restaurant outlets in the country. The sandwich will be in stores from Nov. 30 until Feb. 15, 2022, as per Mashed.
Customers can also avail of the BOGO deal at Smashburger on Dec. 2 to buy the Chorizo Cheeseburger. This offer will allow people to purchase the new sandwich and pay only $1 for a second burger sandwich.
"Smashburger is thrilled to partner with one of the best chefs in the country who shares our passion for the culinary innovation process, while giving back to small community farmers," Smashburger president, Carl Bachmann, said in a press release for the debut of the restaurant’s Chorizo Cheeseburger. "We love experimenting with unique flavor and taste profiles that complement our premium ingredients, so taking inspiration from Rick's expertise in Mexican cuisine seemed like a natural fit for our brand.”
Chef Rick Bayless is also happy with the collaboration and said he is really thrilled as the partnership will also be for a good cause. This is because, through the selling of the new sandwich at Smashburger, more support for the Frontera Farmer Foundation will come as well.
It was reported that Smashburger is planning to match the donations of customers for every purchase of the new sandwich to raise $75,000 that will be donated for Frontera Farmer Foundation that chef Rick Bayless has mentioned.
