“Ray Donovan” season 6 is coming back for another action-filled drama. Its plot will center on Ray’s life as he relocates to New York after being saved from drowning by a police named Mac, played by Domenick Lombardozzi.
As per Entertainment Tonight, Ray Donovan (Liev Schreiber) will start a new life in the Big Apple. His savior, who is a police officer, will help him start over by getting him onboard a fraternity that is the Staten Island Police Department.
It is there where Ray will be back in the circle of magnate Sam Winslow (Susan Sarandon). However, she started to work with NYC’s mayoral candidate and this team up puts Ray at odds with his new friends in Staten Island.

The “Ray Donovan” season 6 trailer has been released and it reveals that things will be more chaotic for Ray. It does not show his family back in Los Angeles and this part could present some plot twist along the way.
The trailer starts with Ray jumping into East River from a building then he is rescued by a cop. In another scene, Jon Voight’s character, Mickey Donovan, is shown clutching his chest from a heart attack and then appears to be unconscious in a hospital bed.

Based on the newly released trailer, cast members who will return for “Ray Donovan” season 6 include on Voight, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey, Devon Bagby and Graham Rogers.
Viewers will not see Paula Malcomson anymore as her character already died of cancer in season 5.
Air Date
As per Deadline, “Ray Donovan” season 6 is set to premiere on Oct. 28 at 9 p.m. The air date was announced by Showtime CEO David Nevins on Aug. 6. It was added that the cast and crew are already filming in New York for the season’s 12-episode run.
