Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in December last year after just a brief period of dating. It was a whirlwind romance as they call it so on their wedding day, it was revealed that the Indian actress almost backed out after getting cold feet on the big day.
Chopra shared in her recent TV interview with Andy Cohen that on the day of her wedding to the Jonas Brothers member, panicked and cried then asked herself what she is doing. She said that she contemplated just before the ceremony and she almost did not make it to the venue after thinking so long.
“I had a freak-out moment right before I walked down the aisle,” she told Cohen. “I was about 40 minutes late to the wedding, because I was just like, a 75-foot train, ‘Do I even know what I'm doing?’ Like, a full freak-out moment but then that door opened, and I saw his face.”
Priyanka Chopra went on to narrate that the moment she saw Nick Jonas, she calmed down and the wedding went ahead. Upon seeing each other at the aisle, the two of them cried together, and it was a beautiful memory for her.
In any case, the 36-year-old actress did not think that she would marry Jonas, who was so much younger than her. According to Hola, Chopra found out later that the 26-year-old American singer was very matured for his age; thus, she eventually accepted him.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas first met in 2016, but it was not until 2017 when they saw each other face to face. Before their meeting, they communicated via social media, and it was the latter who send the message first. They saw each other again at the MET gala in that same year and decided to go together since they are both wearing Ralph Lauren ensembles and the rest is history.
