“Prison Break” season 6 is in the works now so there is no doubt that it will be back on FOX. The show’s return is actually really late already because the previous season concluded for more than a year now.
Knowing that fans have been waiting for “Prison Break” season 6, Dominic Purcell always makes sure to give an update whenever it is available or there is something to share about their show. In fact, prior to the official announcement of the series’ renewal, he was the first to break the news to fans via Instagram.
Now, the actor once again took to social media to inform those who are waiting for “Prison Break” season 6 about the progress of the drama’s production. On Feb. 9, he wrote, “It is in development that’s all I got for you.” The actor definitely knows that some fans are impatient or annoyed already due to the long wait because he also added the hashtag “#chill” on his post.
When “Prison Break” season 6 returns, viewers may see many flashbacks that will be like a trip down the memory lane. This detail was previously revealed by show creator, Paul Scheuring. On Twitter, he said that the sixth installment will bring the characters back to where it all began.
“We're going back to the beginning. Literally the very first frames,” he wrote.
Scheuring also announced at that time that he completed the script for the premiere episode of “Prison Break” season 6. While flashbacks are the best guess when he mentioned about going back to the beginning, it is also possible that he was talking about backstories. It is likely that to be able to explain the ending, the backstories are needed for the viewers to easily understand what happened.
Finally, “Prison Break” season 6 will still feature its regular cast members led by Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller. Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Tancredi-Scofield), Rockmond Dunbar (C-Note), Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre) and Robert Knepper (Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell) are all returning as support actors.
