There have been a lot of speculations with regards to “Prison Break” Season 6, particularly with regards to where it is going to air and if it is the last season of the series. As TV shows go, “Prison Break” holds the worthy honor of being fan-driven because of how renewed interest led to the show’s fifth season. With season six coming this year, will this be the last one?
As Monsters&Critics recently reported, there have been rumors that “Prison Break” Season 6 is going to be Netflix exclusive season. This makes a lot of sense since it is due to the series’ presence on the streaming service that more and more people became interested in it. This is why it was revived, in the first place.
This is also why “Prison Break” Season 6 is currently in production and there are a lot of rumors with regards to this particular project. One of the biggest is that this is going to be the last one in the main series and that it will set up a spin-off that will focus on the next generation of characters. This is sensible since they can’t exactly keep calling the show “Prison Break” if the characters are no longer in prison.
As for whether or not “Prison Break” Season 6 is going to be a Netflix exclusive, this has yet to be confirmed. There has been no official word on the matter and Fox is involved in producing the series, so the network does also have a stake in it. As such, this particular rumor might not turn out to be the case.
As for when “Prison Break” Season 6 will be airing, this depends. If it does end up being a Netflix original, it might come out late 2019. If it needs to air on Fox first, it will likely hit the streaming site in 2020.
