PlayStation 5 is highly anticipated after it was dubbed as the most powerful gaming console to come in this era, at least for now. The features and specifications for this gadget were also revealed, although some of the details came from leakers who gamers trust because they have already shared many leaked reports in the past, and they proved to be accurate.
Not everyone may get their hands on the latest PS5
However, it seems that not all avid gamers will be able to own the newest PlayStation 5. This is due to the fact that its manufacturer, Sony Corporation, disclosed that they will only be making and distributing a limited number of the console.
Bloomberg reported that the company decided to make just five or six million PS5 units because it wants to protect itself from big losses. The world is currently dealing with the coronavirus pandemic, and this obviously affected Sony’s business as well.
To make sure that the PlayStation 5 will all be sold, it limited the units that it will sell worldwide. This move was also decided to avoid selling the console at a high price. Besides, many businesses have shut down already, so Sony is being careful.
The games coming to PS5
In any case, there are games that were already confirmed to come with PlayStation 5, and one of them is “Destiny 2.” This was announced by the game’s publisher Bungie, last week. “‘Destiny 2’ will be on next-gen platforms! More details to come,” Bungie tweeted.
“Call of Duty 2020,” “FIFA 2021,” “Assassin’s Creed Valhalla,” and “Death Stranding” are also coming to the PS5 console. Furthermore, it was also reported that “Fortnite,” one of the most popular and biggest games in the world, will be available at the launch of PlayStation 5.
“This is not a new version of ‘Fortnite,’” Epic Games wrote in a statement. “It’s Fortnite optimized to take advantage of the new hardware and features on next-gen consoles and more powerful hardware will allow us to improve performance and visuals.”
Finally, PlayStation 5 has been set to be unveiled in November, and it will be sold starting at $499.
