The new update for “Ozark” season 4 made fans really happy. The fact that Jason Bateman, the drama series’ producer and lead actor, was the source of the details made things even better.
It was previously announced that “Ozark” season 4 will be the final run of the drama. However, the filming did not proceed yet when it was renewed and as everyone already knows, this was due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Filming schedule announcement
The production could not move forward but finally, a piece of good news came two weeks ago when Bateman shared when they will be back to work.
“We’re going to start November 9,” the 51-year-old actor told IndieWire. “Everything is moving well toward that and we’re very confident in the guidelines and protocols we’re going to be following. We’ve got tons of consultants and we’re learning a lot from other productions.”
Bateman went on to say that before they head to the set, they are making sure that filming will be safe for everyone. They are taking precautions and setting up protocols in the workplace for safety and put the staff and artists at ease when they return for “Ozark” season 4 filming.
“We’re prepared for all of that,” he added. “It will be disruptive but we’ve got to get back to work and we’re getting it as safe as we possibly can.”
Spoilers - What to expect in the finale
At any rate, Jason Bateman also dropped some serious spoilers as to what can be expected in the upcoming “Ozark” season 4. He shared the spoilers after taking to showrunner Chris Mundy who told him about the finale.
"Basically, what we will see is a continuation of domestic harmony versus personal ambition,” Express quoted Bateman as saying. “Sort of that push-pull that Marty and Wendy are dealing with, as well as what Ruth and our kids are dealing with.”
Finally, he hinted that there will be lots of deaths in “Ozark” season 4 so fans should brace for this unfortunate turn of of events. Jason Bateman stated that the stakes will continue to rise and may even go beyond the Ozark quarters. He ended his statement by saying: “It’s the devil and the angel on the shoulder all the way through.”
