Fans will have to wait for “One Punch Man” season 3’s official announcement but those who have been following the manga series already have an idea what will happen next. More intense fight scenes can be expected as the anime series gives more focus on the Monster Association.

‘One Punch Man’ season 3 plot, spoilers: What to expect

The second season, despite the mixed reviews, still offered some of the best fight scenes that the anime series featured. In the latter episodes, fans got a chance to see some of the fiercest members of the Monster Association while Garou was established as the Hero Hunter and season 2’s main antagonist. Garou’s character development will continue in “One Punch Man” season 3, and it will include some scenes with the Monster Association leader, Orochi.

Season 2 finale showed an unconscious Garou being dragged away by a couple of monsters. They mean well for the Hero Hunter and update on his status will most likely be provided at the beginning of “One Punch Man” season 3. Garou is going to wake up deep in the lair of Monster Association and will find them psychologically torturing a group of the human paramilitary. Right at the start of “One Punch Man” season 3, Orochi will make his favoritism towards Garou known among the other monsters.

Meanwhile, the heroes are still trying to figure out where the Monster Association’s headquarters is in “One Punch Man” season 3. The heroes are also going to have quite a challenge in uniting their forces while the threat posed by monsters escalates.

‘One Punch Man’ season 3 release date, production: Will it arrive in 2020?

Technically, “One Punch Man” season 3 has not been confirmed yet. So that leaves the release date and other production details unknown. The latter is quite a touchy subject after a group of fans complained that season 2 had a lower quality of animation under J.C.Staff and director Chikara Sakurai.

There was a significant length of hiatus between seasons 1 and 2, presumably due to the change in production studios and directors. With the “One Punch Man” season 3 announcement and producer still pending, it is hard to predict if the third installment will premiere by 2020.
