‘One Piece’ chapter 998 release date, spoilers: Marco’s flames help vs. virus outbreak; Chopper creates a cure

Everyone protects Chopper as he creates a cure for Queen’s virus

The Wano Kuni arc has established Queen as having a penchant for creating weaponized viruses. And one of his creations was released recently and has been causing severe problems to the members of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance. The good news is they have Chopper on their side who will also get help from the doctor Miyagi and the nurse Tristan from the Mink tribe.

There is no doubt that Chopper will invent a cure just like he did before in Udon. While that has yet to happen, Marco steps in and uses his flames to cover the entire Live Floor in “One Piece” chapter 998. As the alliance previously deduced, being near a fire helps slow down the spread and effects of Queen’s virus. Other members of the alliance, including all the yakuza, will step in to protect Chopper, Miyagi, and Tristan so they can continue working.

Sanji is in major trouble vs. Black Maria

While the other Straw Hats are having action-packed fights, Sanji is busy running around in “One Piece” chapter 998 trying to avoid a battle. He previously wandered around and thought he found a woman in distress. However, it was a ruse and he ended up having to fight Black Maria.

Fans may recall that Sanji has vowed never to fight female opponents, so instead of facing them head-on in “One Piece” chapter 998 he is attempting to escape. However, the leaks indicate that Black Maria is unforgiving and will not hold back against the Straw Hat. Black Maria will reportedly use her Kumo Kumo no Mi devil fruit that allows her to transform into a giant spider.

The ending of “One Piece” chapter 998 should also be considered a highlight. While Yamato and Momonosuke are hiding, the latter finds a deformed dragon status. Yamato will explain that it used to be prominently displayed until it was destroyed by her “friend.”
